Does granite need to be resealed regularly?
Resealing largely depends on how much abuse it takes. If you’re constantly sliding cast iron pans across it, it’s going to wear out fairly quickly. But under normal circumstances, it will take a while. If you’re wondering whether it needs to be resealed, simply pour a small amount of water on it. If it beads up, it’s sealed. If it soaks into the granite, darkening it, then you likely need to have it resealed.
